On December 21, 2023 the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) will hold a public hearing on the emergency and permanent rule proposals for student teaching equivalency. Written comments received by through December 21 will be given the same consideration as testimony submitted at the hearing. Attending the hearing is not required for testimony to be recorded. Instructions on how to submit written comment are contained in the hearing notice. Please note that public hearings for the purpose of rulemaking are only to record testimony. A copy of the permanent and emergency rule may be accessed on the legislature's website.
