The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is emailing those lifetime license holders who need to complete a background check and verification of work history to maintain their lifetime license. Those emails will be sent between January 4 and 10, 2024 with the steps that need to be taken. The requirements to maintain a lifetime license are found in Wisconsin Administrative Code §PI 34.041 and Wisconsin Statutes §118.19 (10)(b) and §118.19 (18)(c).
