Mission


The Outreach Program supports children who are deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind by providing a broad array of services to families and educational programs. Services are determined based on the needs of the child.

The Outreach program provides information, support, and training to school districts and educational programs in serving deaf, and hard of hearing and deafblind children and their families. Services and support are determined based on the child's needs.

The diverse team of specialists includes:

  • Diagnostic/Educational Specialist
  • Deafblind Coordinator
  • Birth to Six Services Coordinator
  • Speech-Language Consultant
  • Educational Audiology Consultant
  • Sign Communication Specialist

Programs of Outreach include:

  • Deaf Mentor Project
  • Captioned Media Program
  • ASL Distance Learning Program
  • Guide-by-your-Side Program

Family activities supported by Outreach include the Statewide Parent Conference and the Wisconsin chapter of Hands and Voices.
