Welcome to the Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD). WSD is a residential school for deaf and hard of hearing students from throughout the state of Wisconsin. WSD operates under the direction of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and provides educational services for deaf and hard of hearing students ages 3 to 21.

We are located in rural Delavan, population 7000, in the south central portion of Wisconsin. The school has served deaf and hard of hearing students in the state of Wisconsin since 1852. WSD has an average annual enrollment of 180 students in grades pre-K through 12th. WSD stresses quality of service to students and parents. We focus on meeting the needs of students with disabilities in the areas of academic, adaptive education, vocational and social skills development.
