DPI's Title I Listserv

How to join the Title I Listserv

The department has established a Title I Listserv Discussion Network in an effort to provide more timely distribution of departmental information and to promote dialogue among Title I educators across the state. Further, the Listserv should serve as a mechanism for Title I educators to share concerns, ask questions, discuss teaching or curricular concepts, and share educational successes. As a team, we look forward to sharing information with you in this format.

There will be six subgroups: (1) Title I Coordinators; (2) Title I teachers; (3) Even Start Family Literacy Coordinators; (4) Migrant Education staff; (5) N & D staff; and, (6) DPI. Questions or comments may be directed to any one group or to all users. When seeking information you may direct your inquiry to a specific group by placing their name on the subject line, or direct the inquiry to all users, by using the term, all users on the subject line.

Enclosed are directions with detailed information for signing on to the network, and how to use the network. Please keep this informational sheet for future reference.

As a member of a Listserv, here are a few tips that may be helpful:

  • Each request for information should include the sender’s phone number and e-mail address.
  • When answering a request for information, your reply will be delivered to all users of the Listserv unless you address your response to a specific person or subgroup.
  • When using the Listserv to seek information from DPI staff, please address the message directly to that person in the subject line, e.g., DPI Monica Notaro or Migrant Education Staff Kathleen Jackson.
  • If you are seeking information from the DPI and do not wish to direct the question to a specific person, use the subject line with just DPI as the designation. Staff will respond to their designated districts or areas of responsibility.
  • To avoid congestion in your e-mail network, do not send all messages to all users every time.
