The Professional Development Plan (PDP)

Completion of a PDP is required for educators who have completed an approved educator preparation program in a specific license category (teaching, pupil services, administration) after August 31, 2004.

• Advancement of an Initial Educator License - Initial Educator Licenses with a license type of: 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26 or 27
• Renewal of a Professional Educator License - Professional Educator Licenses with a license type of: 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 or 36

Completion of a PDP is optional for educators who have completed an approved educator preparation program in a specific license category (teaching, pupil services, administrative) prior to September 1, 2004. The PDP process satisfies the professional growth requirement for renewal.

• Renewal of a Professional Educator License - Professional Educator Licenses with a license type of: 40, 41, 42, 43 or 44
