Wisconsin eTranscript InitiativeA partnership among the University of Wisconsin System (UWS), the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU), the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS), and the Department of Public Instruction has been established to develop a statewide eTranscript system. As a result, Wisconsin has partnered with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) to facilitate the electronic transfer of high schools transcripts. The Wisconsin eTranscript Initiative (ETI) offers a mechanism for the transfer of student information from Wisconsin's public and private high schools to any college or university in the country. This is made possible through the Compact's contract with Docufide, Inc. Wisconsins participation in the initiative allows students in Wisconsin high schools to utilize Docufide's secure transcript services. This service allows students to order transcripts online at any time. A student's official transcript is electronically delivered to any participating college or university. Students are also able to send transcripts (electronically or on paper) to other destinations nationwide. The eTranscript service requires no complicated technical integration. A typical high school can implement it in less than an hour, including staff training. Once implemented, the service offers high schools the ability to take all student requests online, processing transcripts to the selected destinations with a simple electronic "print" function. Wisconsin high schools interested in participating in Wisconsins eTranscript Initiative can get more information by contacting Heather House, Docufide Project Manager, at WIetranscripts@docufide.com.
