Title I and School Support

Statewide System of Support (SSOS)

Title I Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged Part B Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Education Agencies Subpart 1 Basic Program Requirements Federal Law 20USC§1111

Overview

Wisconsin's Statewide System of Support (SSOS) is targeted at providing technical assistance to districts with Title I schools identified for improvement (SIFI), Title I schools that have missed Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), and other Title I high priority schools. Rather than providing prescriptive measures for district improvement, SSOS processes and tools are designed to enhance a district's ability to improve the effectiveness of its programs and strategies for providing support to low-performing schools. The system also includes tools and strategies to build capacity at the local level for district-focused school improvement.
