Accountability Forum

State Supt. Tony Evers participates in a community forum to gather input
on school accountability reform. Held at Northstar Middle School, Eau Claire, Sept. 20, 2011,
the forum was organized by the Wisconsin Education Association Council.

As Evers noted the previous week in his State of Education Address,
the creation of a new accountability system "is a remarkable opportunity
to have a statewide conversation about what we value about our schools and then
build an accountability system that mirrors those values."

At the forum, Eau Claire teacher Ron Martin said,
"Tonight is a starting point to be sure every kid gets a great education."
