Blugold Beginnings at UW-Eau Claire

Nearly 1500 fifth-graders visited the UW-Eau Claire
for a taste of college during two days in April.

State Superintendent Tony Evers spoke to the group April 21 at Zorn Arena.
In a mock ceremony, he "congratulated" two students acting as
"college graduates," Erica Houff of Altoona Elementary and
Chase Bucheger of Parkview Elementary in Chippewa Falls.

This UWEC program partners with agencies including the DPI's
Wisconsin Educational Opportunity Programs office in Eau Claire.
