Burmaster Announces Rural Aid in La Pointe

La Pointe, August 15, 2008

State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster joined
State Senator Bob Jauch, State Representative Gary Sherman,
and school district administrators from northwestern Wisconsin
at La Pointe Elementary School to announce more than $449,000
in sparsity aid for rural schools in northwestern Wisconsin.

Burmaster developed the sparsity aid program,
along with two other measures targeted to rural districts statewide,
with the help of her Rural Advisory Council,
which was also holding a meeting in La Pointe that day.
