District and school proficiency summary reports at grades 4, 8, and 10 are available for downloading at this site. The files are an printable (8.5 X 14 inch paper) electronic version of the 2000-01 WKCE bound report and are in Excel 97 format.

File sizes range from 10-16 MB depending on the grade. They are large because they contain a lot of formatting and because they include disaggregated results for every district and school in Wisconsin.

Results are disaggregated by mobility, economic status, disability and English proficiency status. Included are district and school data about participation and performance of students with disabilities and students with limited English proficiency on WKCE and alternate assessments. Note that results in these files are not disaggregated by gender, race/ethnicity, or migrant status, and writing scores are not included.

Are you interested in more disaggregated data and writing scores? Download the tab-delimited files. The tab-delimited files include complete disaggregated proficiency data, writing scores, and percentile ranks.

NOTE:

Demographic data contained in these files are the data reported by school districts and were not audited by the testing contractor or the Department of Public Instruction. In order to reduce the data collection burden, default demographic codes were used when student data were hand-gridded if the vast majority of students statewide were in a specific demographic category. For example, districts were only required to hang-grid data for "students with disabilities." All students not marked as students with disabilities were automatically coded "nondisabled." No default codes were used for race/ethnicity. Missing race/ethnicity codes were reported as "missing."
