CESA and District Parent Coordinators

Who are the Parent Coordinators?

Parent Coordinators are parents that have received training about special eduction through WSPEI and who:

• mentor parents to become educated and positive participants in the individualized education program (IEP) process;
• train and mentor district-selected parent liaisons to support families and district parent involvement activities, including parent advisory groups, information groups, and focus groups;
• help school districts contact parents to aid with the State Performance Plan Indicator 8 requirements;
• support individual school districts in building strategies for parent involvement.

To use this chart, find your CESA in the first column. Then look for your school district name in the second column. You can call or e-mail the parent listed next to your school district. If your district's name is not there, call the first parent listed for your CESA. If you don't know which CESA you are in, go to http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/geogpg.html for a map or a list.
