The “enrolled SB 2” is now on the Legislative Reference Bureau website at 
http://docs.legis.wi.gov/2011/related/enrolled/sb2.   This is the bill in its entirety as it will appear when it is 
enacted.    
 
We been receiving a number of questions about SB 2 .  In response to one common question, the extended 
application period WILL be effective in this upcoming application period, which will now run from February 6 until 
April 30.     The provision allowing parents to apply for exceptions to the application period will also be effective 
upon publication.  
 
We are working on developing informational materials, procedures and forms necessary to implement both aspects 
of SB 2.  We will provide information as we have it.   However, at the present time, we do not have any more 
information than we have already shared with you.  
 
As information becomes available we will send list serve notices and also put information on the web site.   If you go 
to the open enrollment website right now, you will see that the application period has been changed to reflect the 
extended application period provided in SB 2.   There is also a link to a separate web page where we will place 
information about the bill/act as it becomes available.  
 
We understand that this is a major change with very little notice.    We appreciate your patience.
