Subject  - Entering 2nd Friday Information in OPAL
 
Sorry, I didn’t send this reminder out sooner.  
 
Nonresident Districts
 
If you have ‘t already done so, please go into OPAL, click on the 2nd Friday in January tab, in the Transfers In list.  For 
each student indicate whether the student is or is not OE into your district.    If the student was not in attendance on 
the 2nd Friday in January, you should still enter the student as OE if the student was in attendance at least one day 
before and one day after the 2nd Friday.  
 
The 2nd Friday list does contain All Students, whether or not they were reported as OE on the 3rd Friday in 
September, so be very careful in making these entries.   If the student was not reported as OE on the 3rd Friday in 
September, no open enrollment payment will be made—regardless of the entry for the 2nd Friday in January.  
 
Resident Districts
 
Go into the 2nd Friday tab in the Transfers Out list.  For each student indicate whether you agree or disagree with the 
nonresident district entry.  
 
If any column reads n/a, it means that the other district has not yet made its entries.  
 
The 2nd Friday list view will be locked on January 31.
