What can we tell from student behavior data?
Some student behavior data illustrates the impact of difficulties that students are experiencing. Other data illustrates the positive behaviors that students are engaging in. It is important for school staff to examine both aspects of student behavior data and to know as much about individual students experiences in the school as possible.
Data to examine could include:

Impact of Difficulties

  • expulsion rate
  • violent incidents
  • truancy
  • suspension
  • dropouts
Youth Risk Behaviors
  • alcohol and drug abuse
  • violence
  • tobacco
  • sexual activity
