Live Special Education Webcast Presentation On Tuesday, November 28 At 10:00 A.M.

This is the second of three presentations designed to help district personnel with coding of Special Education accounts. Session 2 will assist school districts with the proper accounting for various special education delivery models including district-operated programs, tuition agreements, 66.03 agreements, and CESA package programs. This session will identify the relationship between funding source, account coding and categorical aid eligibility as well as provide sample transactions and other coding resources.

2005-2006 Audited Financial Statements Are Due December 1

District auditors are required to file this report. At district auditor request, the due date was pushed back to December 1 from November 1. No extensions will be granted. As per a prior listserve, a letter will be sent to the district administrator and the district clerk should this report not be filed by the due date.

Estimating Formula Factors For Projection Purposes

The School Financial Services Team receives many inquiries regarding revenue limit and aid factors for future budget years. Much of this information will not be available for some months; however, the team has posted to its website aid and revenue limit factors from the prior and current years that districts may want to use for estimation purposes. Should you have questions, please contact one of the team’s finance consultants.
