2004-05 General Aid Estimate

Enclosed please find an early estimate, per Wisconsin State Statute 121.54(4), of your district's 2004-05 general state aid. General state aid is defined as equalization, special adjustment and special transfer (Chapter 220) aid. This information can also be found under "Late Breaking Information" on the team's website.

This estimate is based on data from the following sources:

1. Audited 2003-04 membership reports on file at the department and district submitted pupil count data submitted on the PI 1563 (refer to enclosed worksheet for details).
   
   
2. Your district's May 2004 certification of School Aid values.
   
   
3. Shared cost data computed from your district's 2003-04 Budget Report

Note that this aid calculation is an early estimate.The department will certify your district's official general aid eligibility on October 15, 2004 using your district's 2003-04 Annual Report AC (Aid Certification) data. That certification of aid should be used in the calculation of your district's 2004-05 revenue limit which the district uses to determine tax levies.
