2005-2006 Final Aid Eligibility

Final eligibility for 2005-2006 general aid has been calculated using audited 2004-2005 annual report data and final state guarantees. Enclosed is your district's final 2005-2006 equalization aid worksheet and a final general aid adjustment summary sheet comparing the October 15, 2005 estimated eligibility to actual final eligibility. Please note that there are adjustments for equalization aid eligibility and also for the intra-district, inter-district, special adjustment and charter school programs. Also enclosed is a membership worksheet that was used in the calculation of final aid eligibility.

By statute, the aid adjustment amount is added to or subtracted from your district’s September equalization aid payment (payment date is September 18).  The adjustment amount does not affect your district's 2005-2006 fiscal annual report data, but is considered revenue for the current fiscal (2006-2007) year.  When your district’s general aid payment is certified on October 15, 2006, the 2005-2006 aid difference will be included as an adjustment to your estimated aid eligibility.
