SUBJECT: 2005-2006 Special Education State Categorical Aid Payment for June

Enclosed is your district’s/agency’s 2005-2006 Special Education direct state categorical aid calculation worksheet, based on 2004-2005 PI-1505-SE Annual Report Special Education costs. Use this worksheet to calculate “transit of aid” payments to other participating districts in cooperative arrangements.

The actual final direct aid payments will be electronically transferred on Monday, June 12, 2006.

1. Aid Transmittal: Please check the current year DPI Aids Register--to access, click on the "Aids Register" link on the left-hand scan bar from the School Financial Services Team Internet website at http://dpi.wi.gov/sfs/index.html.

2. Aidsheets: A copy of the aidsheet and adjustment sheets are also located on the internet. To access, click on "Worksheets" on the left-hand scan bar from the School Financial Services Team Internet website at http://dpi.wi.gov/sfs/index.html and then click on "DPI Printed Worksheets" and then click on "Special Education Aid Eligibility Worksheets".
