6. National award for democracy it is!

The Wisconsin Educational Communications Board's series democracy it is! won Best Instructional Series in the category of Instructional Media from the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA).

A membership organization serving public television stations, NETA annually recognizes the best in program production, promotion, outreach, and instructional media.

democracy it is! is a multimedia civics project featuring youth who have engaged in the democratic process to make a difference in their communities. democracy it is! includes eight video programs, a web component, and teaching guide materials, all directly aligned with Wisconsin and national cross-curricular standards.
