4. DPI's School Financial Services wins award

Wisconsin was one of 17 states presented with an award for good data reporting by the federal government.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which is part of the U.S. Department of Education, is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

Wisconsin's School Financial Services Team won a Common Core of Data (CCD) State Fiscal Award for meeting NCES criteria for quality and timeliness in the submission of data for the National Public Education Financial Survey (NPEFS) and the School District Finance Survey (F-33).
