5. New Wisconsin Promise conference proposals due soonThere are less than two weeks left to file your on-line application to present at the New Wisconsin Promise Conference: Closing the Achievement Gap, January 15-16, 2008. The DPI encourages Wisconsin educators to play an active role in the 2008 Conference by sharing classroom, school, or district success stories at one of the many conference sessions. This sharing of experiences and expertise in meeting challenges is what makes the conference so meaningful for participants. Fill out the online application form at http://dpi.wi.gov/nwp/conference.html. The theme of the conference is "Meeting the Needs of All Learners." Conference tracks are Content and Learning; District and School Improvement; Race, Equity, and School Culture; and Professional Learning. Presentation and poster proposals must be submitted online no later than September 14, 2007. Music performance proposals will be accepted until September 28, 2007. For questions about the proposal process, contact Elaine Granke, (608) 267-1294, or Barb Goetsch, (608) 266-1863. More information: http://dpi.wi.gov/nwp/conference.html ![]()
