Summer development opportunities for school personnel

Education organizations are offering professional development activities this summer.

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) is offering this year's Summer Academy in Stevens Point, July 29 - August 1. A new offering this summer is a course combining two popular NEA programs: Minority Community Outreach & Closing The Achievement Gap. The Association of Wisconsin School Administrators (AWSA) is hosting the Wisconsin School Leadership Academy for teachers and administrators (June 27-29, Madison) and the Summer Workshop for principals (June 24-26, Wisconsin Dells). AWSA is also sponsoring the Council of Educational Professionals workshop August 10 in Stevens Point. More information: http://awsa.org/

The Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA) is holding the Legal Seminar (July 25-27, Sturgeon Bay) and the New Superintendents Academy (August 2-3, Madison). More information: http://www.wasda.org/
