Ask?Away Awareness Week is May 7-11

In an effort to expand the awareness and use of Ask?Away — Wisconsin’s free, 24/7, online reference service — May 7-11 has been designated as Ask?Away Awareness Week. Libraries throughout the state will be conducting activities, offering bookmarks, or displaying posters to increase awareness of the service.

A consortium of reference librarians throughout the state, nation, and world provides the Ask?Away service. Forms are available on the Ask?Away website to submit a request for help with research or general information needs, to submit a question about Department of Public Instruction services or navigating the DPI website, or to get help searching BadgerLink or the Internet. Customers can use the e-mail or the chat forms to submit a request at any time, day or night. E-mail queries go to staff at the Wisconsin DPI's Reference and Loan Library, which is staffed by reference librarians with a combined total of more than 135 years of experience. The estimated turnaround time for receiving a reply is 48 hours.
