The National Science Teachers Association is the largest professional organization in the world dedicated to the teaching and learning of science, with nearly 58,000 members from pre-K through college. Their mission is to promote excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. NSTA also advocates for science and science education in the political arena. Each year, their national conference draws more than 15,000 participants.

NSTA provides high-quality professional development and provides a number of on-line courses for teachers, an e-mentoring program, and supplemental electronic learning programs. NSTA is committed to providing the leadership necessary to promote excellence in the teaching and learning of science.
