On Thursday, March 1, State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster attended the annual State of the Tribes address in the State Capitol, Assembly Chambers. The address was delivered by Tribal Chairwoman Patricia R. DePerry before state lawmakers and regional tribal leaders from the 11 recognized tribes of Wisconsin.

On Sunday, March 4, the state superintendent attended the dedication of the Irving Pertzsch Elementary School Addition in Onalaska.

On Wednesday, March 7, Burmaster attended the Milwaukee Partnership Academy Executive Partners Meeting. On Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9, respectively, Burmaster attended a Board of Regents Meeting at UW-Parskside.
