Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards for Business Activities Guide
No. 0190, 2000, 358 pp., $36
Need help in planning business education
activities to meet the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards in
Business? Our newest release, Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards
in Business Activities Guide, is just what you need! The standards,
which were disseminated in 1998, were designed to develop students'
comprehensive competence. They began engaging elementary students
in the excitement of business and lead them progressively to
higher levels of rigor in each succeeding level.
Wisconsin Model Academic Standards in Business
Activities Guide is designed to aid the business education instructor
in delivering the standards and to answer the question, "How
do I assist my students in achieving these competencies?"
These activities were developed in 1999 by a group of educators
and developed only for students completing grade 12. Some activities
may be for specific courses, while others may be integrated in
a variety of courses.
Content standards are followed by relevant
activities; a scoring guide is provided for the activities within
each content standard. The activities reflect state-of-the-art
technology and concepts. However, they are only examples and
should be used as catalysts for instruction.
