2003 LSTA Grant Awards

(January - December, 2003)

The following LSTA projects were approved for funding in 2003 by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Elizabeth Burmaster.  The LSTA program grants total $2.9 million.  The Department of Public Instruction Division for Libraries, Technology, and Community Learning administers Wisconsin's yearly LSTA allocation of federal funds through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency responsible for strengthening libraries and museums.  Among the LSTA projects funded in 2003 are projects involving technology, delivery of library materials, and adult, family, and early literacy.  Abstracts of selected project applications for 2003 also are available.
