2009 New Wisconsin Promise Conference
Dr. Gwendolyn Webb-JohnsonAssociate Professor, Texas A&M University Dr. Webb-Johnson is Associate Professor in the College of Education & Human Development at Texas A&M University, Department of Special Education. Dr. Webb-Johnson's areas of expertise include: curriculum and instructional development, multicultural education, parental/ family involvement, public school administration, and recruitment and retention of culturally diverse students in higher education. The keynote address will focus on improving academic achievement in culturally diverse schools through parent/community involvement. Plan now to attend the 2009 New Wisconsin Promise Conference at the beautiful Monona Terrace in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. National and state education innovators, school leaders, and classroom teachers will share their knowledge and expertise in the following areas: 21st Century skills; district and school improvement; and engagement in learning. Registration for the conference is open. Keep in mind, previous conferences have reached capacity early. This is a "must attend" conference to include in your professional development continuum for the coming year.
