WSN Locator System: Training and Technical SupportWisLine Web Conference Dates and RegistrationIn preparation for implementation of the WSLS in May/June 2004, the following types of training will be available free of charge to education agencies that need to report: instructor-led WisLine Web conferences, instructor-led on-site presentations, Web tutorials, and user guides. Ten WisLine Web conferences have been scheduled on the dates and at the times listed below.
To register for a Wisconsin Student Locator System (WSLS) WI DPI web conference, email or fax the interactive registration form (MS Word format) to *dpistats@dpi.wi.gov (yes the asterisk is part of the address) or 608-266-2529 (Attention Education Statistics). If more than one person will be attending at your site (computer), please have only one person register and then put all of the additional names on your registration form. You will receive confirmation by email (remember to include your email) of the date and time for which we have you registered. Registration requests are due three business days prior to the conference date. For example, registration due date for May 19 conference is May 14. To register for the WI Student Locator System (WSLS) WI DPI web conference go to: http://www.uwex.edu/ics/wlwreg/wlw_welcome.cfm. Registration is due three business days prior to the conference date. For example, registration due date for May 19 conference is May 14. If you have not registered for a session using the WisLine Web Registration Program, you will enter as a New Registrant. You will need to set up a username/password for this system. You will receive two emails: one with your username/password confirmation and one with the phone number and URL for this session. The system will remember your username/password for you if you tell it to. If you have used the service before, you will enter as a Returning Registrant. You will receive one email with the phone number and URL for your session. The session titles are under WI DPI. Please coordinate this effort with your CESAs or with neighboring districts. We have approximately 20 telephone connections for each of the ten Wisline Web conferences and need district cooperation to group together. Many CESA's have offered to have a room available to coordinate this effort. Please contact neighboring district(s) or your CESA. Priority for WisLine Web conferences will be given to districts in CESA 3 to 12. Priority for Madison and Milwaukee on-site presentations will be given to districts in CESA 1 and 2. Registration priority for May sessions will be given to districts that have indicated they need to do the initial load in May and to districts that have been WSLS certified or that work with a WSLS certified vendor. Any district may request either on-site or WisLine Web training. DPI will work to accommodate all requests. Do you prefer on-site training? There are on-site training sessions offered in CESA 1 and 2. If there is sufficient interest for an on-site presentation in northern Wisconsin, it will be held on June 23, 1-4 pm, place to be determined. Use the On-site registration form to show your interest in the northern Wisconsin on-site session, but register for another session as well.
