WSLS File Examples and Validation Tools

WSLS Interface Specifications Examples and File Validation

Download EXE file. EXE file contents are listed below.

Examples of CSV and XML File Transactions

  • TR_LOAD.CSV and TR_LOAD.XML
    Initial Student Load File Transaction
  • TR_ASSIGN.CSV and TR_ASSIGN.XML
    Locate/Assign File Transaction
  • TR_EXIT.CSV, TR_EXIT2.CSV, and TR_EXIT.XML
Exit/Update File Transaction. There are two CSV versions. The first example is a file with double quotes, and the second example is one without double quotes.

Validating and Parsing XML Files

  • TR_LOAD.DTD, TR_ASSIGN.DTD, and TR_EXIT.DTD
Document Type Definitions which define the valid XML tags and how they are processed for the transactions. The Initial Student Load Transactions and Subsequent Locate/Assign Transactions use the TR_LOAD.DTD, the WSN ID Transactions use the TR_ASSIGN.DTD, and Exit/Update Transactions use the TR_EXIT.DTD. These files can be used for validating and parsing XML files.
  • XMLCHECK.HTML
Validating XML parser for use with XML files and the TR_LOAD.DTD, TR_ASSIGN.DTD, or TR_EXIT.DTD.

Validating and Parsing CSV Files

  • CSVCHECK.HTML
Validating CSV parser for use with CSV files based on the CSV Interface Specification layout.

NOTE: The xmlcheck.html and csvcheck.html will validate that the file is formatted correctly for WSLS. This means that the layout of the file matches the layout defined by WSLS. This does not mean that the data in the file will meet all of the business rules defined for WSLS. Download EXE file.
