WSLS Exit Confirmation ChecklistA goal of WSLS is for each student to retain his or her own unique WSN throughout the PK-12 experience. It is relatively easy to assign Wisconsin Student Numbers (WSNs), but a sustained effort is required to ensure that the WSNs follow students as they move from school to school and district to district. Timely exit confirmation request processing is critical to the success of WSLS. Other districts/schools may interpret lack of response as a denial and assign a new WSN to your student. If your student gets a new WSN when moving to a new district/school, then WSLS cannot verify the transfer of your student and ISES may count your student as a dropout.
