FINAL WSAS ROSTER FILE - REMINDER

Districts will now have until December 19 at 4:00 pm to add, update, and correct records in WSLS and ISES prior to the creation of the final WSAS roster file for CTB. This is a change; the previous date and time was December 16 at 8 am. For more information, see "Final WSAS Roster File" at http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/iseswsas.html#finalfile.

A few districts have no ISES records. Note that unless ISES CD records are submitted by December 19, affected districts will have a lot of missing data in the final WSAS Roster File. Submitting ISES CD records for students who transferred out of the district before the WSAS testing window is just as important as for continuing students. If data are not provided by the 19th, then missing data will need to be provided in the WSAS Record Editing System AND in ISES (meaning that affected districts will need to submit the data for the same students twice).

WSAS ROSTER REPORT

This report is now available by clicking on the Report Menu in the ISES Main Menu. Use this report as a tool to check the overall reasonableness of your WSAS roster data prior to December 19. This report serves a purpose similar to the 2004-05 WSAS Submission Verification Report (in the old WSAS Pre-ID software) and includes features similar to other ISES Progress and Summary Reports. VALIDATION ISSUES

A few messages regarding EXIT TYPE are being incorrectly thrown. After reviewing a message associated with EXIT TYPE, if you feel you have received the message in error, please contact the help desk at 800-507-5744 or email dpistats@dpi.wi.gov for further information.

Though PAYER is optional for the 2005-06 ISES Collection, when THIRD PARTY PROVIDER <> NONE, ISES throws an error indicating that PAYER is required. Please ignore this error for now as we work to address this issue. For 2006-07 collection, ISES will expect a PAYER if THIRD PARTY PROVIDER <> NONE but, since PAYER is optional for 2005-06, a null value in the PAYER field should not result in an error.

We are also addressing several issues related to Possible Full Term Dropout records. We suggest that you work through errors and warnings associated with regular year end records and count date records prior to reviewing the possible full term (summer) dropouts.
