Call for Data

(This email was sent only to districts that had not yet submitted one or both of the expected records sets, Year End 2005-06 and Count Date 2006-07 in the Individual Student Enrollment system (ISES).)

As of 8 am Thursday, Oct 19, 2006 your district is one of seventy-two that had not yet submitted one or both of the expected records sets, Year End 2005-06 and Count Date 2006-07 in the Individual Student Enrollment system (ISES).

The deadline for the Fall 2006 ISES Initial Submission Period was extended from 4 pm, October 20, 2006 to 8 am Tuesday, October 31, 2006. On Oct 31, 2006, 8 AM, ISES will close for statewide validation. ISES will reopen approximately one week later when the Review and Revision Period begins. No corrections to 2005-06 year end records or 2006-07 count date records will be accepted after November 22 which is the ISES Lock Down date. It is very important that current ISES collection closes on November 22 in order to facilitate use of ISES data for required purposes this year. Please plan accordingly.

The absence of your data in ISES and WSLS not being kept up-to-date may be preventing other districts from completing their data submission and will prevent the processing of data by the Department of Public Instruction for such purposes as federal grants, E-Rate enrollment, ESEA Report Card, IDEA compliance, Adequate Yearly Progress, School Performance Report, and publication on WINSS. Anticipated uses of ISES data vary by data element and are listed on the Web pages describing each data element, http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/eseamap.html#data. Use of data is rapidly expanding, and we would like to help you have data that are as valid, reliable, and useful as possible.
