WSLS/ISES Update

CLOSE OF ISES INITIAL SUBMISSION PERIOD - 4 P.M. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20

The Initial Submission Period of the ISES will close at 4 P.M. on Friday, October 20. All districts should be locked prior to the end of the Initial Submission Period. Immediately following the Initial Submission Period, ISES will close for approximately one week for Statewide Validation purposes. The two week ISES Review and Revision Period for Districts begins immediately following Statewide Validation. The ISES Important Dates has reflects this schedule.

Remember that ISES data will be used for AYP purposes this year (attendance and graduation rates) and need to be finalized no later than March. Final ISES data will also be used for 2005-06 School Performance Report, 2006-07 3rd Friday September enrollment reporting, and other public reporting purposes. Anticipated uses of ISES data vary by data element and are listed on the Web pages describing each data element. http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/eseamap.html#data. Use of data is rapidly expanding, and we would like to help you have data that are as valid, reliable, and useful as possible.

If your district is not locked, and you have not worked in ISES for a while, then see http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/isessupprt.html for ISES Manuals, Web-tutorials, and other support options. You may also call 800-507-5744 or submit questions via the Help Desk Expert Tool. As the Initial Submission Period approaches the end date, we expect more ISES traffic, longer processing times and longer helpdesk queues. If you have many errors or warnings we encourage you to begin now.

WSLS / ISES AVAILABILITY

Availability of the WSLS and ISES is posted to the Help Desk Expert Whiteboard, http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/helptool.html. We encourage you to register for the Help Desk Expert on-line tool for access to the Whiteboard feature and to submit questions, concerns and suggestions to the DPI Help Desk regarding the ISES and WSLS.
