Granting Access to Wisconsin Student Number Locator System (WSLS)
In preparation for implementation of the WSLS in May/June 2004, Districts and 2R Charter Schools will be responsible for appointing and granting authority to staff supporting the Wisconsin Student Number Locator System (WSLS). In keeping with DPI's commitment to protecting student privacy, the process of granting authority to appropriate staff begins at the highest level in the school district. If you are a School District Administrator (Superintendent) or Non-district Charter School Administrator: __ If you do not have a Wisconsin User ID, register for a Wisconsin User ID Notes: 1) If your WSLS/ISES Administrator should leave the district or leave that position, enter the delegated Authority application to change your choice of the WSLS/ISES Administrator. The person assigned to the role of WSLS/ISES Administrator in the Delegated Authority application will control access to student data in the WSLS. 2) If at any time, the School District Administrator (Superintendent) or Non-district Charter School Administrator should leave the district or the position, the new School District Administrator (Superintendent) or Non-district Charter School Administrator needs to complete the first two steps of the above process. If you are a WSLS/ISES Administrator: __ If you do not have a Wisconsin User ID, register for a Wisconsin User ID Note: If any staff member leaves the district, enter the Delegated Authority application and remove their access to WSLS. If you are a WSLS User: __ If you do not have a Wisconsin User ID, register for a Wisconsin User ID Helpful Links: 1.
