SUBJECT:	Spring WSLS / ISES Training for New Staff

The Department of Public Instruction plans to hold training sessions covering the Wisconsin Student Number Locator System (WSLS) and the Individual Student Enrollment System (ISES) at each of the twelve CESAs in May and June. The WSLS training will demonstrate maintaining student enrollment within the WSLS, gaining access to the WSLS and ISES applications, and discuss solutions to common questions and concerns. The ISES training will provide an overview of maintaining individual student demographic and indicator data within the ISES, solutions to common problems, best practices, use of reports to check the quality of data, and an opportunity to discuss local practices and concerns with school staff. These sessions are intended for staff new to the WSLS and ISES. Additional ISES sessions will be held in the fall covering updates and modifications for the next collection.

District staff responsible for data entry into the WSLS and ISES are encouraged to attend.

The WSLS Training session will be held from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The ISES Training will be held from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Staff are free to attend one session or both, but must register separately for each session. Space is limited in some locations. Lunch is not provided, so plan accordingly if attending both sessions.

Please mark your calendars for the locations nearest you. Next week schools will be able to register for the training sessions on-line. The entire list of training sessions and dates is as follows:
