WSLS/iSES Update
ON-LINE REGISTRATION FOR FALL WSLS AND ISES TRAINING Register now for Fall ISES sessions to be held throughout the state in August. Certain Locations will probably have morning and afternoon sessions. These sessions will be identical, so plan to attend the session which best fits your schedule. The sessions are intended for district staff responsible for data entry into the WSLS and ISES and will focus on updates and modifications for the upcoming collection. If new staff will be working with the WSLS and ISES for the 2009-10 school year, we strongly suggest that these staff contact the WSLS/ISES Help Desk to discuss available training materials and tutorials. New staff are encouraged to attend the fall training sessions. WAMS ACCOUNT CLEAN UP The Department of Administration will be archiving all user accounts that have not logged in to WAMS in the past 26 months. An account that is not accessed within the past 26 months will be deleted without warning. You will need to register for a new account and request required access authorization to the WSLS and ISES if you require the account after it has been deleted. This process will begin April 26th. The WSLS / ISES Help Desk is attempting to contact all district administrators who will be affected. User notifications will not be sent to Local WSLS / ISES Administrators, Assistant WSLS/ISES Administrators or staff authorized to access the WSLS and ISES. The Department of Administration will also be changing the user agreement policy on the WAMS self registration page to reflect this change in policy. PROPOSED FALL ISES REPORTING SCHEDULE The ISES Important Dates URL has not been updated for the upcoming collection, but the following key dates are provided to help district begin planning for the fall submission and review periods. 09/28/09 - WSLS Enrollment should be up to date through the 3rd Friday of September (09/18/09); ISES Discipline records for 2008-09 are due, review and revision period begins. 10/19/09 - ISES Year End, 3rd Friday of September (formerly Count Date), and October 1 Child Count records are due, state wide validation will be performed followed by review and revision period; Review and revision period ends for ISES Discipline. 11/18/09 - Review and Revision period ends for ISES Year End, 3rd Friday of September (formerly Count Date), and October 1 Child Count.
