Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT)Title II, Part D of No Child Left BehindEnhancing Education through Technology (EETT) in Wisconsin: The primary goal of the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program is to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools. It is also designed to assist every student, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, geographical location, or disability, to become technologically literate by the end of eighth grade, and to encourage the effective integration of technology resources and systems through professional development and curriculum development to promote research-based instructional methods that can be widely replicated. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for Enhancing Education through Technology: As a part of the recovery act, $650 million dollars was allocated to the EETT program. Of this funding, approximately $9.1 million is allocated to Wisconsin. The funding will be distributed using the rules and guidance of the EETT program. Therefore, 50 percent of the funding will be distributed via a formula allocation to school districts using the ESEA Consolidated Application. The other 50% is being distributed with a competitive process. Applications are now open for the competitive process and will be due on October 16, 2009. Links with information about both portions of the program are listed below.
