Affiliate Your Chapter by March 1, 2010:

Complete the affiliation process on or before March 1 to get registered on the national member database. All members and advisors must affiliate in order to complete the State Leadership Conference registration. As of January 20, 2010 the following chapters have affiliated: Appleton East, Appleton North, Cudahy, Elkhorn, Kimberly, LaFollette, Menomonie, Milwaukee Madison, Monona Grove, Mukwonago, Oak Creek, Platteville, South Milwaukee, Washington Park, Waukesha Academy of Health Professions, Waukesha North, West Allis Central, Whitehall, and Wisconsin HOSA, a total of 667 student members and 21 professional members, for a total membership of 668.

Local Proctor Forms are Due on March 1, 2010:

On-line testing for competitive events must be completed from March 15 through March 26. Please see the list of events that require an on-line test. Each school must select a proctor other than the advisor to administer the tests at the local level. Advisors need to complete the form and send it to Cheryl Bowes by March 1.

State Officer Applications are Due on March 5, 2010:

We are looking for a few great members to serve as state leaders during the 2010-2011 school year. Consider being a candidate for a state office. Complete the application and mail it to State Advisor Janice Atkinson by March 5, 2010.

Pay Dues by March 15, 2010:

In order for any student to compete at State Leadership Conference, affiliation and dues payment must be done through the national office. There also must be time for the payment to be processed at the national office and for them to send the state portion of dues to Wisconsin. Prior to state, names and financial records will be checked at the state office to ensure that dues were paid for each competitive events participant.

NEW TagHOSA Advisors will meet on March 18, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Olympia Convention Center in Oconomowoc. This meeting occurs prior to the HOPE Conference on March 19.

Awards and Recognition Materials are Due on April 1, 2010:

Let’s recognize members and advisors for their work in HOSA. Check the list of the many ways to honor contributions to our organization. Specific information about each is located under Awards and Scholarships in the Program Information section below.

Wisconsin’s New Service Project is Friends for Health in Haiti. You have seen coverage of the devastation in Haiti and know that the residents are in desperate need. Please see how you can help by looking in the Program Information section below.

HOSA State Leadership Conference: Price information for registration and lodging is located in the Conferences section below. Registration materials will be emailed to chapter advisors soon and will be posted on the website.
