June's Newsletter share some reflection from outgoing VISTAs and Supervisors as well as promising partnership practices and summer recipes! May's Newsletter is full of its usual resources, tips, and promising practices. Note especially the website recommendations and grant opportunities! In the April edition, readers can learn what makes award winning partnership schools great! Also included are grant opportunities, promising practices from across the state, and tips for supervisors. In the March edition of the VISTA Newsletter, read about money-saving tips "from the field," ideas to strengthen action plans, and ways to build relationships with families and staff. In the February Newsletter, readers will find resources on business partnerships, partnership teamwork, and unpacking parent involvement legislation! Happy New Year from the DPI VISTA Project! Our January newsletter highlights the strengths of serving in small rural and large urban settings as well as the usual resources and grant opportunities. In the December newsletter, we welcome three new VISTAs to our project! We also share promising practices from staff at DPI, VISTAs in the field, and communities across the world. In the November newsletter, Ruth Anne Landsverk shares some ideas to connect your Action Team to other school initiatives. We also get to know two of our VISTAs, Casey Gauthier and Chris Briggs, a little better! October's VISTA newsletter has a new look! VISTA Casey Gauthier is serving as editor. This month you can find information on grant opportunities as well as learn some valuable tips for recruiting parents to your Action Team! The September Newsletter will help prepare VISTAs and Supervisors for the upcoming Orientation in Madison. Additionally, Ruth Anne Landsverk offers some advice on recruiting parents for your Action Teams! In the August issue, we wish twelve VISTAs luck as they complete their service. We also welcome 12 new VISTAs to our project and share some insights and words of wisdom as they begin serving with Wisconsin schools and communities. The July newsletter shares important resources on sustainability as many of our VISTAs are ending their service in the next month. Also, Michael Castaneda shares his reflections from the past year of service in Milwaukee. The June newsletter is full of great resources on funding sources and grants. Also, Ruth Anne Landsverk shares ideas on working with families on school transitions. The May newsletter offers some end of the year ATP evaluation suggestions as well as an interview with VISTAs Cathy Knott and Kelly Libert! The April newsletter is full of useful resources, Action Team evaluation tools, and a number of grant opportunities.

January Newsletter In the December letter, Ruth Anne Landsverk reveals a new mapping tool to help VISTAs connect their partnerships. We also get to know a little more about our newest VISTA member- Jen Gaul! In the November newsletter we say good bye and good luck to one of our VISTAs, Bev Schwantes, as she finishes her year of service. We also highlight some promising practices taken from the field! The October newsletter features ways to keep in touch with your fellow VISTAs, as well as ideas for keeping a record of your own self-reflection. Also this month, VISTAs Dana Reinoos and Julie Webster interview each other. In the September newsletter our new VISTA Leader, Betsy Prueter and our Project Director, Jane Grinde share a little about their personal and professional lives. Also, Ruth Anne Landsverk offers 10 ways to encourage parents to get involved on Action Teams! We say goodbye to many of our VISTA friends in this July/August issue of the newsletter, but don't be sad -- we also welcome many new members to our team! This issue also provides a chance for everyone to better know our expert in partnerships, Ruth Anne Landsverk. The May/June newsletter is about wrapping up the year and summer partnerships. The April newsletter focuses on resources to help you take stock of where you are and where you are going, both personally and professionally. The March newsletter highlights valuable tips for attending conferences. The February 2007 newsletter takes a look at the research on family involvement in schools as a means to boost motivation for partnership building and welcomes Dana Reinoos to the team as VISTA with Parents Plus in Milwaukee! The January 2007 newsletter focuses on resolutions schools can make to improve their climate for welcoming partnerships, especially with families.
