Child and Adult Care Food Program


  • CACFP Training Webcasts Video Missed training? Need a refresher? The Community Nutrition Team now provides CACFP training via webcasts. Webcasts allow you to view taped presentations that include PowerPoint slides on the web. We currently have the following training webcasts available: Determining Household Size-Income Statements, Maintaining the Household Size-Income Record, Correctly Completing the Claim for Reimbursement, and Civil Rights.

Summer Food Service Program

  • Training for New and Returning Sponsors: New sponsors are required to attend training which will be held in Madison within the month of March, 2009. Training for Returning 2008 Sponsors will begin in February, 2009. It is recommended (not required) that all returning sponsors attend a 3 hour refresher training session. These refresher sessions will be offered by sponsor type (camp & non-camp) at 3 locations - Oak Creek, Madison, & Rice Lake. Please note that there will be one combined camp/non-camp refresher session in Rhinelander. If your agency will NOT be attending training, but plans to participate in the SFSP, you MUST register to receive the 2009 training binder. Training Opportunities

  • Basic Introduction to Direct Diversion - September 24, 2008; 12:30 - 2:00 PM. Madison Marriott West, Middleton, WI.
    DPI conducted a basic introductory session prior to the Food Show. The session covered the basics of direct diversion; what is direct diversion, what is the process, what is required at the school level, etc. Please see PowerPoint presesentation below.

  • Detailed Training - Direct Diversion - October 1, 2008; 1:00 - 3:30 PM. This session will cover the details of direct diversion processing, the timelines for implementation, and what is involved at the school level for direct diversion. There is no fee for this training session, however, registration is required.
    • Location: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Madison, WI (Conf. Rm. 041)
