March of Dimes and FBLA-PBL Partnership

In 1970, leaders from Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda joined forces with the March of Dimes and formed an official national alliance to save babies. Now, three decades later we have entered the new millennium with a remarkable track record of success.

Over the last 30 years the March of Dimes has had a successful partnership with FBLA-PBL. In this time, FBLA-PBL has raised over $12 million for the March of Dimes and we have reached hundreds of thousands of young people with our health and mission messages. In the 1997-1998 school year alone, FBLA-PBL raised $500,000 million dollars for our foundation. In summer 1998, the March of Dimes and FBLA-PBL launched a new collaborative initiative Mission LIFT (Leading Into the Future Together), that focuses on the development of leadership skills in FBLA-PBL members and increased involvement in WalkAmerica.

In 2000, FBLA-PBL raised a remarkable $500,000 for the March of Dimes and 5% of that money, or roughly $25,000, was given back to FBLA-PBL to be used in the form of grants for leadership projects. This money helps to enhance the FBLA-PBL/March of Dimes experience and strengthens efforts in making lasting chapters.
In addition, the March of Dimes invites FBLA-PBL into our own Team Youth leadership programs such as Chain Reaction and Collegiate Council to help foster mutually rewarding relationships. Team up with your local March of Dimes chapter and take advantage of this exciting partnership today!  For information about March of Dimes Partnerships contact partnership@modimes.org.
