Meeting/Conference Follow-up

The annual meeting of bilingual/ESL program administrators and Title III coordinators and the joint DPI/WITESOL conference took place on October 8-10, 2009, at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Both were a great success! This success is due to a number of variables: a great conference site with phenomenal staff who went over-and-above what was expected; keynote speakers and a performance artist who shared a variety of messages and gave participants much to take back with them; presenters over the three days who gave of their time and shared their expertise so that everyone gained new knowledge; dedicated WITESOL board members and DPI staff who worked behind the scenes so that all events could run seamlessly; and, the participants who were able to give up some of their precious time to join us, as well as their supervisors who approved their travel and found the funding in these difficult times. Thank you, all!
