About the Data
Results of statewide achievement tests known as the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examinations (WKCE) may be viewed or downloaded from this site. The WKCE measures achievement in reading, language, mathematics, science, and social studies using multiple-choice and short-answer questions. Students also provide a rough draft writing sample. The reading and mathematics tests are given annually to students in grades three through eight and ten while the language, science, social studies, and writing assessments are also given annually to students in grades four, eight, and ten.
