FranceThe Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Academie D' Aix-Marseille and the Academie Bordeaux in 2006. These agreements provide the foundation for establishing school partnerships and professional development of teachers in both countries. Sister Schools If you are interested in connecting with a sister school in France, please fill out the Sister School Inventory and send it to Gerhard Fischer as an e-mail attachment (preferred) or by regular mail. 2008-09 France-Wisconsin International Teacher Seminar The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction will conduct an international teacher seminar with participants from Wisconsin, Aix-Marseille, and Bordeaux in 2008-09. Twelve Wisconsin French teachers will host their guests from the Academies Aix-Marseille and Bordeaux October 25 - November 2 in their homes and school districts. The French group will attend seminar sessions in Madison November 3-6 before attending the WAFLT Conference in Appleton. The French visitors will return to France on November 8.
