The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Academie D' Aix-Marseille and the Academie Bordeaux in 2006. These agreements provide the foundation for establishing school partnerships and professional development of teachers in both countries.

Sister Schools

2008-09 France-Wisconsin International Teacher Seminar

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction will conduct an international teacher seminar with participants from Wisconsin, Aix-Marseille, and Bordeaux in 2008-09. Twelve Wisconsin French teachers will host their guests from the Academies Aix-Marseille and Bordeaux October 25 - November 2 in their homes and school districts. The French group will attend seminar sessions in Madison November 3-6 before attending the WAFLT Conference in Appleton. The French visitors will return to France on November 8.
