ENC Online: A K-12 math and science teacher center. Mathematics and Science Education: Lists current research resources and publications, offers lessons and activities, links to TIMSS and Equity sites, addresses standards and frameworks, offers "Ideas that Work," and provides links to research resources.
- The National Center for Education Statistics: The primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are relative to education the United States and other nations.
- Educational Publications: This is an on-line ordering system for educational publications.
- Learning Point Associates: A not-for-profit agency dedicated to helping schools and the students they serve reach their full potential. It focuses particularly on using the educational opportunities provided by technology to improve learning.
- Education Research Information Center (ERIC) national library.
- National Center for Improving Student Learning and Achievement in Mathematics and Science:
A component of the Wisconsin Center for Educational Research, School of Education, University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Center is conducting an intensive, nationally coordinated research program - in collaboration with teachers - to advance effective reform of K-12 mathematics and science instruction.
- K-12 Mathematics Curriculum Center: Provides information and assists school districts as they select and implement standards-based mathematics curricula.
- The ARC Center: Supports the wide-scale and effective implementation of the three elementary National Science Foundation- funded standards-based mathematics curricula. It consults with school districts and provides information and resources to support teacher enhancement, leadership development, and public awareness of mathematics.
- Show-Me Center: A National Science Foundation-funded project designed to support the implementation of standards-based middle grades mathematics curricula. It is a Division of the Elementary, Secondary, and Informal Education Implementation and Dissemination project.
- COMPASS:
A secondary school implementation project, COMPASS is funded in part by the National Science Foundation. It is dedicated to improving secondary mathematics opportunities and experiences for students.
- Project 2061: Science Literacy for a Changing Future, features research pertaining to mathematics and science education. The Evaluation of Middle Grades Mathematics Textbooks study is on-line at this site.

- The Teaching Gap: A book by J. W. Stigler and J. Hiebert, suggests that teaching reform fails because the efforts do not affect the processes of teaching and learning in the classroom.
