WAEA is a professional membership organization with affiliation to the National Art Education Association. The mission is to promote excellence in visual art and design education for all students. Member art educators will become enriched and connected through an annual state fall conference as well as having an opportunity to volunteer for service on the Board. Membership offers your studetns exhibitions and creative competitions at all grade levels with their peers through regional and state programs. Exhibitions and competitions include Youth Art Month (K-12 exhibitions), Visual Arts Classics (9-12 creative problem solving), and Visioneers Design Challenge (7-12 design problem solving). Higher Education majors in Art Education are also represented and encouraged to become members.

Wisconsin Arts Board Madison, WI - The Wisconsin Arts Board is the state agency responsible for the support and development of the arts throughout Wisconsin. Since 1973, the Arts Board has supported artists and arts organizations with funds from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
